CLICK ON THE PICTURE FOR A BETTER VIEWA little speedpaint of my new favorite villain. Actually from the MLP Movie which I wasn't interested in originally but after seeing a few clips on youtube I was impressed by the smoothness of the animation and the very nice camera shots and effects! Not bad music scores either so if anyone is a fan of the series you should check it out!

Ohhhh. This is nice. Really nice. A horsie but in a different style than usual. Really love the lightning effects on her (?) head and the scar. Her (?) eyes look also so alive. And the colors!

I always noticed that Tempest has no dark pupils compared to the other ponies. One might think that was a metaphor for her being "dead inside", but if that was the case then at the end of the film her eyes should have darkened again. I actually wonder if it was in her original concept art with a side profile of her face only showing her scar, that the scarred eye was supposed to be "dead" and they accidentally drew both eyes that way, and they ended up deciding making one pupil dark and the other light was too off-putting so they left it.
And I think the animation was far "kinder" to Tempest Shadow than it was the Mane Six. Every one of Twilight's close-ups made me cringe.

After taking my niece to go and see this film, I can confirm - despite not being interested in MLP - that Tempest is a certified badass. She literally steals the show, and your piece here shows her cold personality and untamed rugged nature of her powers perfectly. God I love the use of colours in this as well. The purples contrast beautifully with the cold blues of her eyes and lightning from her horn. I love it.

The MlP Movie was the first movie I watched in the cinema for years. I was so happy when I found a cinema which had the film in the original dub as I'm not used to the German dub and thus find it unbearable
Aaanyway, I really liked the movie as well. And Tempest is a great character indeed and you have captured her perfectly. Good job!
