First and foremost, she'll always introduce herself as Sprout. It's a nickname she casually accepted long before she had a parasite on her head, and that's her general attitude towards a lot of things - casual acceptance. That being said, casual acceptance is typically reserved for the tamer things. For overt ridiculousness, there exist the Four Stages of Sprout: incredulous anger, quiet simmering, begrudging acceptance, and tired. She only wants a quiet life for herself with the right amount of fun and strange and a lesser amount of dangerous.

At least, that's what she says. While Sprout'll protest any questionably sane activity on principle, she silently gets a thrill out of it. She's quick to hole herself up and fall into a drole routine that weighs heavy, so any change in schedule is much appreciated.

Even though she's quick to warn others of their poor decisions, she makes many herself. They aren't the more earthshattering poor decisions, but they typically extend to refusing to tie her shoes, overheating plastic containers with her food in the microwave, balancing her phone on precarious places, and the like. Sprout believes she has terrible luck, but, really, most of the bullshit she goes through is a product of her own decisions and laziness. In reality, she's extremely lucky as the actual products of horrendous luck end up swingin' and-a missin' her by mere centimeters.

As for her attitude towards people, she loves company, but she's a bit awkward and has difficulty warming up. It doesn't help that she forgets people's names extremely easily. Her memory is poor, as are her conversational abilities, but at least she knows how to be polite, for the most part. When things get too much, she becomes overwhelmed and her temper flares, often leading to the infamous Four Stages.

■ Background:

The first half of Sprout's life was uneventful - born and raised in the U.S., received an average education, brought up by decent parents with an older sister. By all accounts average, and this continued until midway through her seventeenth year. By this time she had a part-time job in retail, and while she had dealt with plenty of nasty customers, she wasn't prepared for a dangerously haughty plant witch. The witch hollered over a minor infraction and poured all the blame on Sprout, proceeding to chant and placing a seed atop her head. The woman left in a huff after being pacified by the manager, and most in the vicinity were left, well, confused.

Sprout had thought she had batted off the seed, but that wasn't the case. Over the next several days, she quit her job and found that her hair was slowly turning green. There also seemed to be a small patch of hair at the very top of her head that was growing upwards. Eventually, she realized it wasn't hair, but a plant, and over time came to realize the extent of her curse. Her hair wilted and she felt weak without sufficient sun, flora seemed to lean into her touch, she could instantaneously produce strange fruit from the palm of her hand, and, most alarmingly, there seemed to be a root crawling down her spine and branching out at the base of her back. With time, the roots on her back grew larger and larger, and now they cover a good portion of it. They cause Sprout no harm, though they do have a mind of their own and occasionally pop out of her sweatshirt to say hi. She also eventually realized she could freely control them at will.

Through a quick Google search, she found out that the spell was supposed to kill painfully within a matter of hours, branches consuming the victim, but the witch was clearly incompetent. Having found no cure, she acquiesed to a life of not knowing if or when this thing would kill her, and while it quietly worries at the back of her mind, she's managed to supress the worst of thoughts and lives blindly.

As for present day, Sprout moved out with her elder sister to Indieville. Her elder sister typically goes on business trips leaving Sprout with the house, and all the gaming consoles, to herself.

■ RP method: Uhh, it's been a long while since I last RPed, so please bear with me! Google Docs or notes are probably preferred for paragraph rps, however I'd be willing to give it a try on Discord. I absolutely adore hcs, so feel free to headcanon with me over Discord or notes! While hcs are my top tier fave, when it comes to actual rping semi-lit is the best way to go as I'm not too big a fan of script & lit responses from me might take forever ;v;.
