Description This is a Kisekae 2 Template

Ictiens are a race of anthropomorphic arthropods in the world of Shattered Reality. They can take on many forms from insects to arachnids or even crustaceans. They all have an internal and external skeletal frame to support them.

Infant ictens simply look like a smaller version of what the would look like as an adult and do not take on the larval or nymph appearances of the species they derive their appearance from.

You may use this template to either make a character for my universe or use it for general use as well.

All bracketed "()" information should be removed from the profile.

I win. Even with proboscis tongues they are still adorable.

Yup. I think the butterflies actually turned out cuter though

But look at those big black eyes and pudgy rounded faces. Its been shown that we hold a fondness for animals with rounded heads and big eyes because those are the characteristics of human infants. And many moths posses these qualities along with dark eyes (something else that humans find attractive) and fluffy heads and bodies. Of all the insects in the world moths have the perfect formula for cuteness.

Though to be fair those butterflies did come out really well. Even with them largely just being a reskin of the stick insects.

Well true. It might actually be that the butterflies pop out more on the screen for me, and hence stick in my mind more

Sean1m In reply to SaraleiNighthaven [2015-11-19 16:33:45 +0000 UTC]

Possible. Colours of moths are often rather bland and this is no exception. Butterflies on the other hand are considerably colourful and tend to pop out against something like DA's dull green background.

Not to mention I love bright colours, but also have a inate affection for dark and whites combined.
Although I do prefer that the moths have a more normal body form, I'll give em that. As somebody who used to be underweight, those butterflies need to eat more XD

Well those contrast each other. And contrast has a tenancy to stand out and be very memorable.
Well butterflies typically have rather slim and slender body. Moths on the other hand are often a lot stockier.

Very true. If done well.

I guess.

True. If done well.

And yes there are a number of exceptions to this. There are many moths that are quite thin in their build for example. But I was largely going off of more popular examples for butterflies and moths.

I see. That's fair enough I guess.
