(This is a new race I made in Spore)
These creatures may look like bugs but they are atually a mammal with a strong endoskeleton. They are herbivorous and can eat practically any form of non-toxic vegetation (they can even eat wood). Their high fiber diet however makes them somewhat... Gassy.

Because of this their culture is very heavily centered around flatulence. In fact, in the final stage of their marriage the female must fart on her fiancée for 5 minutes. If the male passes out before those 5 minutes are up it's seen as a sign that he isn't worthy of becoming her mate. If the bride to be runs out of gas so to speak, before that time is up then she isn't worthy of marrying him. So they both need to be ready if they are to pass that last hurdle.
