Description
I am taking part in this challenge: www.deviantart.com/masterstudi…I have not drawn anything for a while so I thought that I would brush up on my skills (no pun intended). Here is an android person.
(Edit) I am still new to creating characters from my mind so this image is a little wonky here and there, plus I did not spend too long with it to refine everything. I am realizing that if I were to continue doing these types of illustrations, I need to learn to be more steady when I draw. My lines are not as clean as I want them to be.

Your anatomy training is starting to show, nice! Is this traditional pencil with digital ink?
It could be an interesting exercise to do an illustration before and after a related strong visual experience: for example your android girl after something like the "ghost in the shell" movie.

It is actually completely digital. It just looks weird when you zoom in. I wanted to do a quick image and upload so I did not refine it that well. I never thought about doing something like that...I don't know if I know how. Would I draw based on what I remember from the movie? I have only watched the live action movie and not the anime.

Damn, the pencil and even the ink, with the textured background and light makes it look real media. Yep, I only saw the movie as well. I think that after the movie one would probably pick up some of the strongest details and environment/ vibe, then would have to fill up with what you already know, anatomy for example. It would be very different from drawing from a reference, but still something would change from the "before the movie" experience.

Oh ok I see what you mean. That is actually not a bad idea. Draw an image before and after a movie. Ya the textured paper, I have seen so many people do it that I have been meaning to do it myself. Drawing an android sort of just happened. I was supposed to draw a floating girl with multiple arms but it did not work out so I thought "hey, can you draw an Andriod". It sort of just worked out. After I learn anatomy and how to shade and color, I need to move onto environments. I did not know what to do for the background so it just looks bare for now. Also, I got lazy and I still need to finish my anatomy studies (head, hands, feet)
