Description
This is a commission I did for Ahkileez.
The concept was of a young african male character who turned vamp who was sitting on a throne, holding a skull, next to 2 lions on either side while bats where flying over head. I think I got it pretty close xD

I was experimenting with some new ideas for this image. I wanted to give photobashing a go. I find that I have a hard time doing texture work but when I add an image into the artwork, I am able to replicate the design across the surface of my illustration. I found that to be really helpful when I designed the jacket. I had some ruffles placed in and I had some color images placed in. Then I drew over and around them to create the jacket.

I also used some photobashing with ai images that I got from Wombo to create the throne chair. Several images put together to create that. Was interesting. I also photobashed several image of lions together and when I was happy, I drew over them. I ended up changing a lot from the initial images but the original photos where a good place to start.

I also used some 3d models in this image as a reference for the character. The gun was a 3d model that I placed inside the artwork.

Pretty happy that I got such a crazy concept all into one image without it becoming too busy
