A trailer for the new Mortal Kombat X game came out a few days ago. I designed a Lego Minifigure to look like the new Scorpion shown in the new game.Programs Used: Softimage, Illustrator

You should have your figure concepts custom sculpted and printed into actual figures.

How do you make those figures? Do you use a special program?

I use a 3D software program called, Softimage. There is also Maya and 3D Studio Max. I modeled out a lego minifigure then create the textures using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Oh ok, that's cool! So you create different designs and apply them to the same geometry that you have once created, right?

That is correct, it's the same geometry but I have separate models for each Lego Minifigure I have created. If there are additional accessories for the minifigure that I am creating then I would model them out, to add to the figure. This Scorpion for example I modeled out a hood, mask, sword, and spears.
