Smashified is branching out, and this is one of the first of many art pieces for that direction! This is the Octo Petey boss concept art for a hypothetical crossover of Splatoon and Super Mario Sunshine. This would've been the boss for our conceptual campaign: a bizarre "fusion" of DJ Octvaio and Petey Piranha. The lighting and colors are wonderfully done! A Splatoon/Sunshine mashup would be awesome and doesn't seem too out of line.

Is that a brush weapon? I main the brush weapons in Splatoon, but the idea of having a boss battle using them is a bit intimidating for me.
