I also love the textures. Trying to figure out how to make clay tear randomly for my decomposition applications.

Thanks, Don't think so much about tearing it or treating it like layers, for the holes in the skin I would just make deep-ish impressions with a metal tool that had hard edges, then yank the tool up out of the pit roughly to let it catch on the clay and give me those rogue tatters in the flesh here and there.

I did that on my last piece and it worked.
I've also been able to heat the monster clay and smear it with a spatula to create a plated decomposition look. That was enjoyable because I could put my energy into the random nature of the smear, yet still come up with a consistency - controlled chaos.

Ok that's just friggen awesome,
love the textures and the decaying skin, but to be honest I love the teeth and lips.... very cool.
