well this is the final. i stayed pretty true to the sketch. its a lot of fun doing this. i absolutely love the sketch phase, because when i really get into it, i get great pictures like this. It is a commissioned piece, for a man who is both a sculptor, wild guy, and architecture guru.i really like how this came out.

Really cool idea, and it turned out great. Conceptualizing thoughts onto paper is one of the most impressive attributes i think an artist can have, and you do it well!

Love his face and the red spikes on his tail. Not too sure about the solid black background.

is it too solid? i spent a while debating the background. i am in a black phase right now, anything else i thought would be too distracting from the details in the statue itself

on another note, i wish deviant art didn't suck all the color out of the image. it would add a lot to see the colors in their true vibrance
