before i begin, this sketch book is about 5 inches high, 3 inches wide, made by moleskin. its my favorite, i will never change.i thought it may be important to show my sketchbook. i sketch everyday for at least a few hours. i carry it with me everywhere, and when i see something interesting i draw it. i use micron pens (005) they work the best. i think its important to keep a sketchbook, and sketch from life as it is, and not distort it. i wouldn't be able to distort, if i couldn't draw from life. i have only recently found how important that is. ever since i started sketching daily, i have seen a dramatic increase in the level of my pictures. i still have a long way to go, but i cannot stress enough how much its helped so far. i draw a lot on the train, which makes for an even harder time drawing, because its so shakey. but then afterwards drawing in a nice calm still room seems like a piece of cake. its like how batters put weights on their bats before their up. the sketch at the bottom i actually did this morning. the others are older. ill keep posting sketches every now and then. please excuse the vulgar language in the second sketch. peace

i love peeking in people's sketchbooks. i used to sketch every day, now only a couple times a week. i do still carry it everywhere. your submission here has reminded me to get back into the habit.
