Here is a major teaser for my Transformers design project.This is NOT the final design for Carbine. He will actually look very different in the final design.
This drawing was a detail study, and even an intensely time-consuming coloring practice as well.
Main reasons for this design not being the final one is because of the lack of a -robot that turns into a car- feel. The shoulder parts also looked a little ridiculous.
One hint to what Carbine's final design will look like is this: He may take the disguise mode of an American vehicle, but he prefers Asian styles in fighting.
* Transformers and the Autobot logo are trademarks of Hasbro
* Carbine is my own original Transformers character.

Thanks! It's actually a Silverado with a custom grille, that was inspired by the SSR. Not many people seem to like that car, but I love it, especially with its roof up.

Thanks! It would have been interesting if he was in the movie. Carbine is supposed to be heavily aligned with good, so he probably would have hated Sentinel Prime's betrayal greatly...

Thank you! The amount of details was too much for me to handle, so it took a long while. About two full weeks worth of work is probably how long I took, not sure. I know it took very long!

Thank you very much! The claw design was somewhat of an afterthought. I had a lot of trouble duplicating the left arm design, so I decided to make it look different. He's supposed to be making a fist with his right had by the way, but the angle is bad so it isn't too noticeable.

Thanks a lot! The paper size is 14 x 17 inch bristol board. It's a 100lb paper. If there is some name for the size, I don't know of it.

This is truly a masterpiece. The only thing that comes on par with this is official concept art done for the movies. And this even beats out some of that.
I find it amazing what you've achieved by just using pencil crayons. Absolutely fantastic.

It takes such a long time just to color a detailed drawing. And it takes even longer when I'm designing something out of my head in the process.
I guess that's why most people rely on digital artwork because of the time efficiency. But, I could never get used to drawing on the computer...
