Inspiring...This is the face of "sacrifice" that we all have to stare at. This is remembering. I want to share this piece with all of you. To show that this is our life line. It is not only the U.S. This is our world and we make it painful. This is our doing. Our kids have to suffer for our causes. The blood that has been bled for absolute no differences. Blood tears shed for us not to make any progress. I ask you...how do you feel?Related content

Someone once told me, if you enjoy being free thank a soldier. So, thank you. Your images are both striking and heart wrenching. God bless all of you who have do or will ever serve in our armed forces.

You know, this painting made me cry the first time I saw it in person. I went through alot to find a digital copy of it. This is by far one of my favorites. I am glad you liked it. I hope it made you feel as it has me. Thank you.

When I first saw a copy of this painting, I was a young teenager and I didn't think much of it. I didn't understand it. After 12 years of struggling I have realized the meaning of this. I just wanted to share it with you guys.

I really enjoy the comments on this deviation. I agree, even tho we are not out there fighting it don't mean we are not fighting from afar. To believe and respect and support is also a way to fight.
This submit captures me heart in many ways. I wish more people would look at this picture and let it sink in. Perhaps they would be a little more greatful.

It is amazing how words have such power. I am a soldier. I had a 17 year old private here in the desert with me last year and I asked him, "why did you throw your life away boy?" This kid to a puff off his ciggerrette, looked me dead in my eyes with his squinted eyes, and said, "I didn't throw my life away. I am doing this becuase I was man enough to make my choice."
