Continuing the theme of nature spirits here is the spirit of the swamp.
Fog/Mist is one of my favourite weather conditions. Everything gets hazy and unclear, leaving only basic shapes. But still you can exactly tell what that shape is.
The mixer brush helped me a lot with this piece. It gives exactly the softness you need for the landscape. Also I stepped a bit further than usual with my abstract brushstrokes and I got to say, I love it.

Looking really nice. the atmosphere is a really interesting one with a dark scene being relatively lightly lit. I kind of wish you would´ve given some more places the detailed and thorough attention that you gave the face, trees and dress look a bit mushy and unrefined, especially compared to the beautifully rendered face.
Great job though, excited to see you progress : )

Thank you! Yeah I give the center of interest the most detail, and tone the other places down, so it does'nt distract from the focal point.
