I've seen many depictions of this same scene, but none hav ever captured the feel of it as it is in the novel!!

I remember when i read the book, that Jonathan described how dilapidated, and little cared of was the castle of the Count, and it always made me laugh the thought: how poor you thought this nobleman was or the thought that a nobleman could lie never crossed your head?Β

I actually just got done re-reading Dracula. This made me very happy to see this. You captured it almost as though Mina were sitting there reading her husband's journal and this is her imagination setting the scene.
