I'm late to the party, but, found her on daz just now, added to wishlist. If you remember, could you tell me what's the pinkish dress in the 2nd promo image in the daz store? Thanks.

Hmm, good to know. I must admit I simply skipped her over as "just another to frail for my taste elf". Didn't notice the other skin options. Might be well worthwhile if applied to another character.

I'm torn... I really like the freckles on the 'normal' skin, but 'drow' seems very artificial.
Could You submit a closeup for the 'drow' skin, please?
Aaaand... if the 'drow' skin doesn't have freckles... have You thought about adding some? I'd love to see some kind of color-inverted freckles.
P.S. got it on my wishlist.

Yeah - the drow skin turned out to be more difficult that I'd anticipated when I started it. Initially I built a dark skin, but it looked bloody awful so I ended up using the base skin and applying a custom shader to it. This allowed more of the detail from the base skin to come though as well as the translucency. It also means that with a couple of simple tweaks to theΒ trans colour/weight - you can change the hue of the skin really easily to blue/purple/whatever you like. Changing the dual lobe spec will change the shininess of the skin too. Likely it could be enhanced to let the freckles come though more - I'll take a look when I get a chance. Here's a quick closeup of the skin detail -ts a bit shinmy still - haven't tweaked it. Just a standard HDRi.

Found some time for two quick test...
Β
Though I have to try some different lighting and render settings... booth are looking very porcelain right now.
EDIT: Yes, I realized that You can easily change the color of the drow skin. I played with glossiness and translucency... and ended up with some very creepy skin tone.

You can drop the dual layer down to adjust shine. Also I've found sometimes just turning off the top layer completely and increasing bump can be useful. I'm thinking of doing this in future as default. Really wish there was a way to make a setting for every condition - My own renders tend to be base studio lighting and I make the characters to work best in that
