As Lethnura got back to the den, he was not in a good mood.
"Why is there a rainy cloud here?" Nasra, one of the lionesses asked.
"We couldn't find-" Ajuma said, before gasping. Between Nasra's paws was a cub.

Come to think of it, she had gone missing for a few days.
"Who's that?" Lethnura asked.
Nasra chuckled. "This is my son Abu. The pride has to continue to exist some how. I got help from Zahir."
"And who's Zahir?" Ajuma asked. "I was told there were no other male lions."

"Zahir is a smilodon" Nasra said. "Anyways, who couldn't you find?"
"The Ancient One" Lutalo said. "The Old Mother. Goddess of things that does not exist, and also lord of making me go on a wild goose chase."

"The Ancient One?" Nasra gasped. "She's real. She moved."
"Moved!" the rest of the pride gasped. They muttered amongst them selves "and she is real?"

"Yes. A few weeks ago she moved from her original home towards a different tree trunk. The old tree was dying, and she wanted to move away as soon as possible. She also wanted to keep an eye on Damu. I heard a few crows talking about it. She's now closer to the pride. Go towards the closest river. She'll be there."

"And how was she planning on letting anyone else know about her whereabouts? " Lethnura asked. "Never mind." He shook his head. "I'll go alone. You all rest" he told Ajuma, Lutalo and Arusi.
"I'll come" Arusi said. "I want to see this old mother."

The two lions trotted off into the jungle, and reached the tree trunk.

"Yesssss" a voice croaked.
"The Ancient One?" Lethnura asked.

"Lethnura....." the voice croaked once more. "I've beeeeeen waaaaitingggg forrrr youuuu...." A lioness twisted her self from inside the tree trunk, and slowly crawled out.
