As the sun rose up into the sky the next day, a battle began. By now, many animals had decided on which side they were going to fight on, if they hadn't already.
A dark cloud loomed over the sky. It hadn't rained in a long time, and the lands were dry.
Some animals stopped mid fight, to look up at the sky, and hope for rain.
But the war continued.
And lighting struck the ground, close to where Lethnura and Damu were fighting, setting the place on fire.
"Face it, brat!" Damu spat. "You can't win!"
The fire began to spread, burning down the plant life, as if marking the end of Kinnison's era, and the start of a new era.
"It's over Damu!" Lethnura growled.
A meerkat raised his head from the tunnels for a while, curious on the racket that was happening outside, before returning back underground.
