Fireworks are illegal here (NYC).
I think the cops will slap people if they say "firecracker" when they are not searching bags looking for "Dirty bombs".
The upside seems to be less blown off limbs or fingers. If folks up here had any sense and knew how to handle fireworks, there would be less accidents and no need to make them illegal.
