Description I drew this over about a day of school. Reference: from a photo ofa gaboon viper's skull from Corbis.com.

The photo had a black background, so I had to invert it to print it. That made drawing harder, but also made the actual drawing more flexible and different to the photo. Int he actual photo, the Gaboon viper had 2 rows of teeth, and double fangs. It had some vertibrae too, so I had to fudge some of the picture to exclude the spine. Over all, I'm pleased. Bummer about the lined page.

thanx for the fav and the compliment.
You like the name? Kate made me change it. It was going to just be Viper... but they wouldn't have that.

Oh naughty!! never ever do notebook paper.. first of all it's a bitch to edit out second of all if you don't know photomanipping you can't take it out and it's just not fun.
Second of all.. It looks like you used a regular #2 pencil.. hmm.. i prefer mechanical pencils they shade neater and you can get REALLY awesome sharp lines with them.. try inking this out or maybe transfering it to a white piece of paper then going over it with ink. W00t .
Watch your angles some of them are a bit hurried, like around the jaw. Take your time with the teeth try to get in the little details if you don't feel like doing so with the jaw thats in the shade just make it all black no worries there

thanx for the critique though, It's helpful. sometimes I do use plain paper, better stationary, etc. But I'm just someone from school and I'm not fussy about precision.

But it's something from school. It's like a series. It's in excersise books. I use pacer pencils, sometimes I use ink.
Also, the rustic charm of my drawing is that I like to just throw it together, not try to make it perfect. Sure, I could have shaded it smoothly, but then you lose the sketched tecture that is Pacer Pencils.
