This is sort of what my city's down-town area looks like, not nearly as warm and inviting at night though. I adore those old-style buildings (they are at least old-style from where I'm from...).

They are old here. Many of the buildings were built in the 1800's. Even the main part of my parents house is over 100 years old. Claremont was settled in 1762, so it's been around a while. We have records for some of the oldest things in the country like oldest active alumni association and random other stuff. If I ever get around to taking more photos of it there's a lot of great old architecture all over the city.
