Thank you to my coaches Mihaela and Leticia for their tremendous support, dedication and patience. They made the impossible possible for me. There was a time when I really felt frustrated by so many mistakes coming up and felt like quitting but with the coaches's guidance and encouragement made me move on. It was really a wonderful experience and a great opportunity to have such talented artists as my mentors! I'm really grateful to them as I got to learn so many new things which were alien to me before!
The most difficult thing in this artwork for me was creating the rider with such dramatic effects and lighting. And I'm so satisfied with my work that maybe in 100 years also I will not think of doing a remake of it!!

I saw the original version......and that version would been perfect equally with the right use of proportions! A beginner and all us were beginner......don't have tecnical concepts in his mind.....and this is the reason because
they have tons of issues doing these works. A beginner don't know one of the basics concepts of these works....im talking about the compromise between portrait and landscape...and how cut the scene..
A beginner don't know how cut the scene......for this reason, is possible see many portraits works in landscape scene......impossible do this!!! So you see giants subjects tall like the elements of the background.
For this reason the final work will be always boring and wrong! Only the practice in the months can help to fix this!
Check this example ----> sta.sh/029txzqch8ru On the right side the typical wrong work with the model out of scale......This means always failed and boring work! But its normal see tons of those works for the reasons explained before! Time to time....impossible learn all quick.
There is another point. The left side has a correct proportion but the work is in any case boring.........The subject is not enough to create interest or the story! i mean many times is possible see the model pasted on the background......and this is ok to do exercise...but not enough to create an interesting work! This because the "market" of these works are oversaturated for years!!
For this reason the main visual structure of the background is so important!!!
To conclude....In this your work i see well your effort to improve...and this is so important because it means you want learn! This work is divided in two visual sections:
The first the knight rider with dogs.......the second the girl near the door! The first section is all correct...im talking about proportions and tones and i like that scene!!!!!! The second part have 3 issues.
1) the model with the same proportions of the door reduce the visual interest and automatically reduce the magnificence of the castle!
2) There isn't visual interaction between the dark rider and her!
3) She is watching nothing! The watcher lose visual continuity because the part over the door on the right is interrupted from the cut. I mean she is watching a scene cutted and this is another common issue...
as i said time to time.....the important is always the fun creating....tec. is only tec. and for me this your work in any case is a success because you did a great step forward in this infinite world....and you should be proud of this.
For me these are little games......nothing of serious....and these are personal advices

I really agree with all the mistakes above...just before the critique I always thought that this artwork is nearly a perfect one but thanks to you for a great critique as it was really an eye opener for me as I now know that to take care of such small details will can really make a difference in my future artworks!
P.S I really love the way you critique..as they are really to the point! Hope to see more of your suggestions an criticisms in my future works too....

tec is only tec. and tec many times is also boring, but absolutely necessary because without tec. we can't realize our ideas at 100%
the real important thing is the fun creating. If you loose this aspect, you will loose completely all
