Awwww, Phinny is so cute~ >w<And Ferb is awfully tolerant. :T
So this is the first step in my Advent Project this year, featuring Phineas and Ferb lighting the first candle in the advent wreath!

Such a cool idea! ...But hey, quick question: how did you draw the fire part of the candles? And how did you do the lighting for it? Because now I want to know.

Well, it's really not a very good technique for drawing candles, but here's what I did: first I selected an area in the shape of the flame and filled it with a medium orangey-yellow color. Then, starting at the wick, I smudged lighter colors ranging from yellow to white on top of it. Then I smudged more reddish colors on towards the tip of the flame, and finished by deselecting it and adding all kinds of airbrush effects on top. Maybe not the most realistic attempt at fire, but I like how it came out nonetheless!

Aaaaah I tried doing something sort of like that actually!! Except I didn't smudge (it doesn't like me), but I went crazy with airbrushes. YAY AIRBRUSHES!! (i really love this airbrush tool so much now that I've discovered it)
