Description
I never really understood the appeal of Boxers or bull dogs until this drawing. It didn't take me long at all to fall in love with that face! What a cutie. ^.^Created with chalk and charcoal on Strathmore 500 charcoal paper in gray. 16x20in. Finished in about 40 hours.

I Love this!! I have a male brindle boxer and he is my second one, they are the best dogs! I have had dobermans and shepherds and other breeds, but I will never have any other dog in my life but a boxer, they are the smartest, cutest, loyalist and most intelligent dogs ever~ you drew this exactly right! You caught the expression perfectly. Great job!

Thank you so much! I've heard so many good things about Boxers! I've never had one (I'm a Lassie/collie kind of girl) but their big eyes are so fun to draw! They seem like very expressive pups.

well, when you get tired of having tons of hair all over you and vacuuming constantly, (I had a husky and a shepherd years ago) come over to our side and you'll never go back to another breed. It's almost as if they have human brains, they understand so many words and have weird and funny personalities... and fierce unconditional love.
But all dogs make life bearable.

Haha oh my goodness, the fur! I actually miss it, though, believe it or not. It'll probably be several years before I have a dog again, but I sure do love drawing them!

If you're lacking for material, this is our baby and someday if you're bored with time on your hands, I'd love to see him on canvas/paper! You are an excellent detail artist. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…

I always love your work. Everything you do is so realistic! Nice job! This boxer is adorable!!
I'd ask you to do a portrait of my chocolate lab Hershey but I don't have anything to give you.
Always look forward to what you'll upload next!

So bright! It really jumps off the page. Not an easy thing to do with a breed that's got such dark fur and features.

Love the fur detail! Bet you were glad when it was finished though. Was this the only picture you had on the go or do you do several at once?

Thank you! And definitely! I love doing fur but it can get a little tiring after a while!
I usually have 3-5 pieces going at the same time. It helps keep things fresh

I think that's what I should do tbh. I tend to do one at a time and it can get boring after a few hours. I will try that , thanks for the reply xx

I know exactly what you mean! I used to do it that way, too and I had the hardest time with my motivation. It's so much more fun when you get to decide which one you want to work on that day!
