Description This is my Vinyl Scratch tattoo, almost fully healed! I'm really happy with how this turned out. It is part of my nerd sleeve, and placed right below my elbow. I have a couple of tiny bits that need touched up after healing, but overall, I think she held color very well!

Did you tattoo yourself or what?

Nope. I have an artist that works in a local tattoo shop that does all my work.

To be honest, he/she is not very good at tattooing.

Must be, since I've only gotten my last 6 tattoos done by him. A couple bits need touched up after the last couple scabs come off and the skin has mostly healed back to normal. The color variations were something I agreed to, and liked the double outline.

This is like my 10th one. I'm so used to the pain at this point, and I really don't feel it much anymore. It's one of those, either you can take it, or you can't. I was 16 when I got my first one done. It kind of became an addiction after that.

how much did it hurt (your first one) and for how long?

A lot of the pain depends on where exactly you're getting it done on your body. The top of my foot, and near my inner wrist are the two places that hurt the most. It's kind of a hard pain to describe, but many compare it to being scratched by a kitten with claws that aren't quite razor sharp. I'm a wimp when it comes to pain, but I've always been able to tolerate tattoo pain.

what about a place like on your shoulder?

I have something on part of my shoulder actually. I'm in the process of working on a Pokemon sleeve on my right arm, and it's really not too bad. Rule of thumb; if it's close to a bone, it IS going to hurt more, especially if the skin is thinner there.
