Yesterday I started working up a little sketch to use for animation practice. The goal was to make it a simple but refined character study with a parallaxing background in the span of two days, probably just the finished pencils. Well... It's the end of day two and I have my character, the backgrounds, and I decided I needed a decent values layout. What's missing? That whole animation part! I estimate it'll take another full day of work to rough in the animation, and I might leave the character just a little bit sketchier than I had originally planned.

What do you guys think? If there's enough interest to see it though I'll bring this concept all the way up through to a finished color animation test. And oh, it's going to be a bumpy road! (hint hint. )

The style of this piece is a major departure from my normal work but it's rather fun!

Feedback is very welcome, especially since this is some experimental territory for me.
