when I saw the thumbnail I though this is the style of wallpaper I generally use, and a fantastic piece like this would have fitted right at home on my laptop... then when I clicked the deviation I saw the lens flare. thanks, but no thanks.

If you don't mind the joke: I love what you've done with her hair. Gorgeous, seamless work.
I'd lose the lensflare, though. It adds nothing and distracts from the simple beauty of the picture.

I'm curious: did you draw the girl or was she a stock image or brush? Either way, this is a great piece. I'm tempted to use this as a wallpaper on my computer, if that'd be alright.

First off, AWESOME.
I would lose the lens flare. With it, the picture seems to linger somewhere inbetween the hard texture of Japanese Calligraphy and the Sex of Modelling and Fashion. Also, with the Lens FLare on the girl, the focus is very much on her, as opposed to the emotions and art coming from her. (Presumably her thoughts, character and aura?)
I really like it, though. Just think it would be great without the flare and perhaps a Photoshop page texture like calligraphy paper effect, or a VERY VERY MILD Cutout?
