Description

These are my characters Pinemask and Ravenfang again. I’ve changed their appearances a bit since the last time I’ve drawn them; the biggest change is I decided to make Ravenfang a grey and white tabby rather than black and white.

If you’re curious about their story/what scene this picture represents: Ravenfang is a WindClan warrior, while Pinemask is from ShadowClan. They fall in love with each other and sneak out of their camps at night to meet up regularly to spend time together. However, they both know that what they’re doing is unsustainable, and sooner or later they will get caught and get in trouble with their Clans. Pinemask spends a lot of time thinking about it, and although her heart still loves Ravenfang, she forces herself to be logical, deciding that it is better for the two of them to stop seeing each other now before they are caught and punished.

The next time that they meet up, Pinemask tells Ravenfang that they shouldn’t see each other anymore. Ravenfang is heartbroken and begs her to reconsider. Pinemask tells him that she still loves him, but since they both knew that it couldn’t last, they should stop it now before they get in trouble or get invested any deeper with each other. Ravenfang tells her that they can make it work somehow, but Pinemask tells him her mind is made up. Pinemask, afraid that he would be able to persuade her otherwise, leaves Ravenfang at the meeting spot before he could say anything else.

Some days pass, and Pinemask is absolutely miserable. She is finding it much harder than she thought to get over Ravenfang. She is so upset that her clan-mates even begin to notice something is wrong with her. Certain that she’s made a terrible mistake, Pinemask is desperate to be with Ravenfang again. Pinemask sneaks out of camp one night to go to her and Ravenfang’s usual meeting spot, hoping against hope that somehow he would be there. As Pinemask walks into the clearing, her heart falls into her stomach as she looks around and realizes that she is alone. Feeling utterly dejected, she begins to cry.

Then out of the shadows, Ravenfang walks into the moonlight, hardly believing his eyes that Pinemask was standing there in front of him.

Pinemask runs to him, practically collapsing against him as she apologizes over and over, telling him through sobs how much she misses him. Ravenfang forgives her, wrapping his forepaws around her and pulling her close to his chest.

The title and their words are lyrics from the song “Berlin” by Bear’s Den.
