You're right. Everywhere you look, there is a Zorua. It's the same for Eevee and Riolu, but not as much.

i understand your point, in fact there is a lot of zoruas/eevees/riolus around. i use a zorua because i want the zoroark (i made the character long time ago(when i joined dA like 10 months ago) and he is not emo at all, all the opposite, i like to define him as a jerk or a idiot). i created a team of and eevee and a sneasel because jolteon and weavile are among the fastest mons around and the team concept was speed.

and i wanted to use a riolu(female) on my team with the zorua too because of the aura, when i created the zoroark OC, i was looking for posible pairings and i found lucario, i found it perfect, because since aura can see trought illusions, there is no way that the zoroark can escape/hide, creating a good love/hate relationship.

even if they are overused (something i didn't know when i created the teams) if they have good backstories, then i'm fine with them.

I have a igglybuff, Sableye, and Ditto in pmde. I picked these pokemon because I knew they wouldnt stand out much if i made a team with a riolu, or a zorua.

As a stickler for originality, it bugs me a bit too. But really, it's not that big of a deal as long as the character is interesting, but is it realistic that the same dozen or so Pokemon species make up the majority of Tao's Population? X3

I'll admit that among my 15+ PMD-E characters a few are of overused species. I have a Zorua and a Litwick, for example. But I counter this by using Pokemon hardly anyone would even think of using; such as Klink, Throh and Bellsprout. I think a good balance is necessary, and whatever works best for the character itself!

I didn't realize when I joined just how popular eevee's were. I had only picked one because the eevee from my game wasn't easy to make a character for and I though PMD-E would be a good opportunity for some character exercises and development. Same story for all my other members of my teams. If I had known certain 'mons were everywhere, I might have picked another from the list.

Last time I looked through the arc 2 app gallery, I have seen at least five team composed of the couple eevee and vulpix (or their evolutions). Globally, I would say about 15 pokémon family lines are overused in teams.
On the other side, some pokémon are almost not used. All fish pokémon are rare in teams, but as missions are happening on land, they don't fit very well. (More generally, all pokémon you get with a rod in the main games are rare).
I find also psy, steel, rock and insect pokémon rather rare in teams.

My team is composed of a natu and a golett. So I don't have one of those three you show here.

I think to contrast with this avalanche of Eevees, Riolus and Zoruas have some pokemon that are also excellent to work with them but no one works. The team's Pokemon the Team Star Grounds (which is my team) for example. Of the three, the Clefairys season in the plug so that I had a Cleffa a team Clefairy and Ringo team LoveShock Rogues and then began to appear more and Cleffas Clefairy but only Ringo Star team and Aleena Grounds (which is my team) is to forward the rest were lost on the way and had great things to work (history, personality, etc.) so that Aleena is so far the only Clefable (NPC Riiko Clefable and Nina Clefairy do not count).

In the case of Drillburs is worse because it does not even have NPCs (just a few suggestions so far) and drillburs chips that appeared in only two went to the front which is also a team of rogues and Tardos Grounds Star team (which is the my team too, until it evolves into excadrill who also is the only news that has excadrill until now).

And when I did vote to choose the third member of the team (which resulted in the creation of Combee Gally) had few applications with these pokemon (in the case of Combee has only two applications so far (three if you count the Gally)) and recently entered a Vespiqueen with their Combee as NPC.

Also has other famous pokemons in PMD-E can count on one hand the number of species that has been in applications with usually only one or two standing out in such applications until the Deerling that has many applications in but I only saw one in action in the stories that evolved until recently. Jiggypuff also has a few chips in and has the Team (Pecha) and a team that was created to parody this team as highlights from several other examples.


Finally I'll give a hint to help people create pokemon only ones without breaking the rules of the PMD-E and only choose one pokemon or another because it is legal. First study the pokemon (some sites have to do this step at the end of text links) and run on a standard detail or other of that kind for example Clefairys kleptomaniacs are naturally (or steal anything) already Aleena is honest she did not steal anything from anyone because the creation of her family and her marriage with another pokemon Tardos that is honest which resulted in a single character without hiding other details of the species as Clefairy be curious, be aliens, so be happy.


If someone makes a character Drillbur eg this species is linked to the mines (usually digging behind precious stones or artifacts) so why not make a drillbur to be a climber or a woodcutter (this gives room for up to feud with stories of pokemon type plants) or even a drillbur that is fascinated with the sea and want to be a sailor (even though this is one of the weaknesses of the species) in the game Paper Mario for example we have a good-omb captain of a ship for example . This alone highlights one of the other pokemon but it also wants to do is physically different than just a detail such a Meowth that its currency on the forehead has a different format (there are several pieces of different parts of the world as a reference) with a Oshawott shell in a different format (or even without a shell using an object or even a pokemon to replace this loss) Yamask a mask with a different than usual. Do not exaggerate prescisa making a pokemon that has a color in the media (like games and anime) prescisa only a detail with this.

And that can combine working with one of the guilds. For example drilbur a lumberjack could work for the merchants to help rebuild the village for example or the Drillbur sailor working for rogues to join more members to the cause. Well hope this helps people create pokemon only ones to enrich the world of E-PMD.

I've got Mienfoo and Sneasel, and Murkrow and Minccino.
However, Sneasel's also getting pretty popular.
I don't mind the Zoruas and Eevees actually, but the Riolus bother me because I never really liked them at all. I think that people can use whatever Pokemon they want though!

Well, you have to remember the different storylines. We are each drawing a completely different story(with ust minor exceptions for cameos) so it really doesn't matter much. Atleast these people are choosing the pokemon they like and not caring that so many others have done the same!

XD Lol yeah, a lot of people tend to have those ones. I happen to be one of the people who do |D I have a ton of eevees on my pokemon games and I have all the evolutions in shiny form XD hahaha, I should probably release some of my eevees, I never do anything with them.

As for the pokemon dungeon thing first off, pokemon shouldn't have hair,it makes them look somewhat retarded but you know, whatever floats peoples' boats.
