I drew this real quick and crappy like just for a vent. lol But come on people who participate in PMD! There are 500+ pokemon in the world and your telling me that you can't be and individual?! It drives me crazy when I see some damn eevee with an emo comb-over! If you go into PMD's gallery you wouldn't have to look far too find any the pokemon mentioned above. Sure they are cool pokemon and all but enough is enough!To those of you who dont have a Eevee, Riolu, or Zorua great job!
And gosh darn it! Meowths are starting to loose there individuality too! X( Bleh...

XD i won't use the same words as you but yeah, they are good. Great close combat when evolved (they are a dragon nuff said) and great far combat because of dragon rage and pulse.

They are dragons, they could have meets with ledgendaries yet not speak about it. Well some rare few. They can want to fly or a hydragieon want to assist the little ones except scares them! That's the place for a moral!!

I'll admit that, at first, I probably would have made a Jolteon and Lucario team. u_u
Jolteon has always been one of my favourites and Lucario, well, is just plain awesome. o3o
However, after noticing the large amount of Eevee and Riolu, I decided to instead go with some of my other favourite, but less used Pokemon, simply in attempt to even out the playing field... so to speak.
Honestly though, I don't mind the over-population of certain species in this group, it just goes to show how well-loved these pokemon are.
Although I applaud anyone using lesser-known 'mons, any pokemon with great personality and/or intriguing story is more than welcome (imo), regardless of species.

I have noticed this... and I don't really have strong feelings against it, though I am a little disappointed with their sheer number. I can't judge them if they really are their favourite Pokemon though. I mean, I would've picked a less popular Pokemon just to even out the society, but thing is, I don't want to control a Pokemon I do not like. I have to be comfortable with my characters, so I chose ones that I already adore, and then think of the practicality next. In the end, I chose a shiny Skitty and a shiny Growlithe. (I think I see a lot of them out there now, too... D
Now, shiny Pokemon. I think they're quite overused too, but I think this is just the best they can do; try to give some very individual distinctive features on their characters. However, I do agree the emo comb-over is very overused. They could've at least tried different hair styles, lol.
As for me, my Pokemon are shiny because Corona (the Skitty) is basically me in Pokemon form, and I really love the colour red. Then I found out shiny Skitties are red. Cynebeal (the Growlithe) is based on my actual in-game shiny Arcanine which I transferred from my HeartGold to current White. Put them together, and I got my dear Team Moonfire.

It does dissapoint me a lot too now that you mention it, thats probably why it gets to me sometimes. But your right, I guess you really cant judge them for enjoying there favorite characters in pokemon... Yes shinys are overused, I'm guilty but I love the pinkness XD I based my characters off of my team that I actually play with in the games too

In my defend I can say that when I took and Eevee I didn't know that they were so overused in the group, but I pair her with a Pansear and I'm planing to get either a Heracross or a Porygon, that I don't remember any team with any of this two.
But there are really individual of this three pokemon,
if your compared Team PureOwneage, Kings Prie or my Eevee you would see three really different pokemon or Team Rune and Team Player Zoruas.
Other pokemon that are really overused would be Deino, Gastly, Ralts, Snivy or Charmander. We could say Sneasel too, but the moment they got popular was when merchants and rouges got the oppotunity to add a free new member to their teams.
In conclusion, there are a lot of teams that has cloned pokemon, but some teams try to give them their individualist and as the people say: there are over 4.000 devians in the group and a lot have more than one team so its really difficult to be original.

Yeah, I'm just seeing the same darn pokemon over and over from different people, but your right! There are a few people who have developed memorible eevees riolus and zoruas and put thought in to their characters but the other 90% are causing the issue.

I have to agree with this xD I used to have a Zorua but got rid of it after a few days since they are overused and i didn't like the character xD (the only reason i picked it in the first place was that i messed up on drawing a different pokemon and got annoyed and just picked one xD The replacement isn't much better but i might change them after a mission or 2 xD)

my say is:
people mainly what there evolution cause there's so many
people love riolu and lucario cause of there aura seeing ability
i think most of the people watched the pokemon black & white movie and loved zororak that why they have zorua
ive got a zorua but that was before i knew it got crazy faved

I thought about all that too and the only eeveelutions I'm really seeing are Umbreon and espeon so its not too big of a variety at the moment. And as for the other two... well I dont know, I'm guessing that people are either drawing them because they only know how to draw canine like pokemon (because thats what a lot of deviantart is made up of... canines) or just picking them because of there popularity. And sure there is the occasional people who are actually fans of the pokemon... It's hard to say

I SO AGREE. Oh my gosh. Two of my teams have Zorua, but they are brothers. I paired them with much lesser known Pokemon in contrast; one has a Drowzee (and now a Mime Jr) and the other has a Cacnea.
OTL I wouldn't mind it so much if they were paired with some lesser known Pokemon but I guess we just can't control what goes oh, eh? XD

I think you missed my point. My point was that every Pokemon's probably been picked at least once. Don't worry too much about picking one that's original. I did that with partner and for a while I wound up worrying over whether or not I really liked it. Just pick a Pokemon y'like and try to make a good character out of it.
