One question, could I enter mine in conformation, or are Koketsu Inus not conformation dogs? xD

The reversed brindle probably wont be good for conformation, its more of a rarity. But the other should be perfect for confirmation, she is a good example of the breed

So the reversed brindle would be considered a fault then? It's undesirable for the breed? I've seen dogs of rare colors compete in conformation, it's about whether or not the color is desirable that counts in the sport. ^^

To be honest the reversed brindle you have was kinda just a gauge to see peoples reactions to the coat pattern and since it seems so popular I think I will make it part of the standard so it is desirable, no color on the Koketsu is really a fault. But usually for working purposes (such as hunting), the more white the dog has, the more desirable it is, because it is easy to spot in most terrains. Especially on the tail, not so much the face. Unless of course you work in snowy terrains, where darker and richer colored dogs might be more favorable. It just depends on the region. Both your dogs should be fine for confirmation.^^

What type of hunting dog is it specifically.
there's the Lure coursing, Flushing, Baying and Catch types.
Most hunting titling i see for dogs of this description are usually for baying and coursing in titling. so..specifically what type of hunter is your breed? just curious cos i'm a rookie DARPG player and am doing my research about hunting titles lol, interested in your breed but because of the limitation on hunting title's I'm interested in i need to know that bit of info.
correct me if i'm wrong anywhere : )

I'd say more of a catch type but they are pretty versatile hunting dogs, they can pretty much do it all (except baying)
