Newborn
Zephyr was born to a respected SkyWing warrior, Gale, and his mother, Alpine. Gale wove him a bracelet of dried mountain grass and slipped it on his arm, large enough for him to grow into. He still wears this bracelet today.
Dragonet
Zephyr was very close to his father. His training was mainly sourced from him, as he was a high warrior and had much experience. When he was four years old, Gale told him he was sent on a mission to make peace with another tribe. He was never told which. However, a SkyWing messenger bolted into camp two days later, bleeding from several wounds. He claimed all the rest on the patrol were slaughtered and he only just escaped. This rattled Zephyr greatly and he became distanced from the rest of his family, living alone on a secluded outpost after he turned five.
Adult
Only since two years ago he worked his way back into SkyWing society. Rumors had flown that he was dead. When he returned, he realized that he didn't feel at home anymore. He missed his younger sister dearly, and had missed her for the past years growing up. But there were murmurs all around him, and soon, when he heard about the academy, he enrolled himself for a fresh start.
When he came home for the summer, Zephyr wished to make up with his mother and sister. But his mother spat at him and called him traitor of blood, and attacked his face, leaving scars. Zephyr's sister followed suit. Now that he knows he's not welcome at home anymore, Zephyr will consider himself an adult in full after this year at the academy. Despite loving it there (it has been his favorite place), he knows he couldn't continue to be there unless he became a teacher (which he is far too timid to ask about, as he's sure he'll be rejected)
