How does Hexagon compare to Blender? Blender is Free Software (no restrictions on what you can do with it), includes modelling, rendering, animation, physics, game engine, scripting all rolled into one.

I never used Blender because I don't like it's Userinterface, too much stuff, too confusing - it wasn't logical for me.
All the other features (rendering, animation, game engine) are of no interest for me.

When was the last time you looked at Blender? Beginning with 2.5x, there was a major UI rework. Things are much more rationally laid out now.

It was some time ago, but as far as I remember it was already a 2.5 build - have installed yet the latest release, will take a look at it. It has one big advantage: it recognizes my SpaceNavigator...
