Not at all, you don't need to be super popular to be known for ones defined look. I can name a lot of artist pals I know here who may not be super big but have great followings in the community among other smaller artists.
You've gotten big though to a good extent, and yeah your art style is quite noticeable! Every artist has their own style and yours I've been following for quite awhile so I'd recognize you ~
