My daughter and I were laying on my bed looking at my "new" room and I got her to be still and let me take one photo of us together. This is the beautiful Vanessa age 12.[ Photography & Editing:ME!]

i cry about it a lot, i see her as often as i can usually 3 times a year, i would love to do more weekend runs since it's only an 8 hour drive but with gas going up so much i can't afford the 300.00 it takes to drive there that often.

my daughter and I never connected. Now she is her own woman at 18 years, and I wait and wonder. If it wasn't for the Girls here, I'm sure I would not be sane.

it is hard to be away from your kids... my son is 28 and married, and has little time for me even when i drive 8 hours to visit.. so i spend as much of the time as i can with V, i always have to pull over and cry when i leave before i can get on the freeway...and i always fight the urge to turn around and go back...

God bless you, Girl. I am blessed (forgive me) with two to replace the one who may never speak to me, so I don't feel your pain, but it still hurts. It hurts badly, and even worse, your girl might not know exactly how much it does. I am sorry it is this way for you.

i know she knows i miss her and i do my best not to cry around her i dont want to make her feel bad for the decision she made..who knows maybe someday the one who got away will come back.. and maybe she will be happy to have little sisters

What I really pray for is that she never has to feel what you are going through right now. It's a terrible rite of passage that too many of us go through in our lives. Though it can drive us to produce, it also can drive us into the ground emotionally.

this is such a great mother-daughter picture. you're both so happy, and i think it's wonderful that you're there for her as a positive influence. doesn't look like you'll have much to worry about with her.

She can be a pain like any child, but on the whole she is a good kid and I love her to pieces. She rarely lets me photograph her but this one and the ones from the beach she let me post. I always ask her permission first.

i see, i see ^^ if you'd ever like tips on editing... i'm free to give them; i notice some areas that *look* edited, with the tools available in cs2 you can easily avoid it (most people just don't mess with them because they look crazy); though i could be crazy and just seeing things
