If you are shooting with a timer, it helps a lot to have something in the spot where you will be for the camera to focus on. Otherwise it tends to focus on the background and the dof causes the actual figure to be just outside the area of sharpness. I have taken to putting a target of somesort in the spot where I will be standing or sitting so as to give the camera something to focus on. It helps if it has decent contrast, like stripes or checks or something, that is easier for the camera to lock on to. You see, in most cases, the camera sets its focus when you press the shutter, even though the picture is not actually taken until the timer runs out, so if there is nothing in the spot where you will be, the point of focus will be whatever the camera is looking at when you press the button. Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you so much. I dont know an aweful lot about photography(in all sences) so everything for me is really trial and error. It never even occured to me that that is more than likely the problem. I will most certainly try that next time.

Maybe some technical flaws... but look on the bright side. Your poses are much superior now days, your setups are impressive, and the mood is positively flowing from the shots. Nice work mate.

Yeh it was definately a technical flaw, I just dont know what lol Its taking time(but thats to be expected) to come up with new and better ideas but i guess I can only get better (or maybe not..hmm). It also helps browsing through other peoples work to help with ideas for new poses etc.

That's how I learned - steal from the rest of us. That's what we are here for.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it stealing, its not like we are doing an exact copy of what other artists have done....more like..helping idea's come together
