Klingons can be a real pain in the ass ..._____________________________
For those who wonder:
Photo-realism is not my thang.
Quality of line is my thang.
To stomp or not to stomp, that is the question.
I choose not.

I apreciate you saying as much. Haven't been doing much involved drawing over the last several years, so have kind of gotten out of the practice of it. The portrait of Jeff took twice as long as it should have, and I had to start over twice before getting back into the groove of things. But back in Next Gen and Voyager days? I was drawing all the time. Definately one of those bicycle skills ... you never forget how to ride the bike entirely, but you sure look like a freakin' dork trying to do it again after you haven't ridden for years.

Oh- I know, I get that way about writing and singing... After a while, when all the joints are oiled again, it seems like getting back on the bicycle gets easier, not to mention fun- all over again!
I am sure, with the talent you have, not only will you bike well, but fast, and pull off some rad tricks, too. lol

lol- well it wouldn't be as bad as my father who once, at age 38 decided to try and pop a wheely on a child's bike, falling swiftly on his butt, bruising his tailbone. IT was a laugh, and quite a sight... XD
Something tells me you'll be smooth, more so than you think. ^^

Yeah. Don't ask my nieces about that back handspring I tried better than twenty years down the road from being a competitive gymnast. Was not pretty. I grok your father's pain.

Aww, he was, or is, an angry and usually mean fellow, so the oops was rather refreshing (as terrible as it sounds...).
lol- here's a groan:
I once fell face first off a very high swing, crunching my nose, needing two surgeries just to be able to breathe out it- SO I tend to stay FAR away from the analogy of "It's easy to remember, like swinging" and stick with the bike. XD
Heck, I was the kid to go cripple in choir. LOL.
I can imagine the pain of trying a back handspring- my imagination is very good, considering I am working to become a doctor...

LOL. Go cripple in the choir ... that's hilarious. Sounds like medicine is just the right field of study for you. Lots of self practice.

That is exactly what my doctor said! Luckily, I want to go into cardiothoracic surgery, and see, though I haven't any cardiac issues, I have family quite experienced in that field of malady, SO self practice as well as it staying all in the family. XD
It was that or opera singing. ^^

Did you ever watch Chicago Hope? Mandy Patinkin managed to do both (being a doctor and singing opera). Of course, there was that time he dropped somebody's brain on the floor and then accidentally kicked it across the room, so there is that.

hahaha... YES! And I love him as well.
besides that AND -
"I am Inigo Montoya, you have killed my father, now prepare to die..."
XD
Brilliant. I suppose I could always do both, but I am leaning more towards a geology minor besides my premedical. XD
I'm just a nerd with a low, high voice. ^^

lol...
I bet- he must get that ALL the time, however, I just remember how I would run around saying that as a kid all the time. Good memories. I now feel guilty for adoring that line, but I suppose it could get particularly old really fast after hearing that recited back to you for years. He's a great actor! ^^

Eh, I don't think it's any skin off his nose for us to quote it back and forth to each other, as long as he's out of earshot. And it is a great line, isn't it? I just know that he has the same response to it as Rob Reiner has to someone greeting him with "Meathead!" And that response is "after all I've done over the years, THIS is what you remember me for?" LOL. Of course, then there's Len Nimoy who followed up his book of "I am Not Spock" with one entitled "I am Spock" twenty years later just because he learned that being recognized and greeted as Spock was a hell of a lot better than having people not recognize you at all. Actors and their egos.

I do agree! I was SO glad Leonard Nimoy appeared in the latest Star Trek movie, moving past his upset over being recognized as Spock all the time... He is a fabulous actor, and I REALLY appreciate him for how well he did Spock. Same with Mandy. I just discovered he was a singer, too! Wow, I am as one might say "With it."
It is a fabulous line, and it will still go on in my life, I believe! As long as Mr.Patinkin doesn't happen to be around, lol.
Egos- they can get big, but luckily, it seems they eventually get over them! ^^ Then they get the love! Srsly, their fans are very loyal, they just have to see past their ego, eventually!

I don't tend to think artists get over their egos simply because egos are essential to an artist's vision. But most of the good artists learn how to manage them productively rather than letting them run amuck ...

You know, That does make sense. Otherwise they would hardly have the guts to be expressive! Who says egos can't also come in humble forms, as well as encouraging! One I actually talked to like that was Greg Lake from ELP- he is with ego, but not over done, terribly, enough to get the job done, and well, please his fans, but provide advice and encouragement to those starting out. Brilliant perspective there.
