I almost didn't leave a comment but saw you specifically asked for one from those that like it. You took the time to share it with us, I can take the time to try and pinpoint just why I like it. That's part of the problem for me, my initial reaction is that I just like it. First I think it's the contrast between earthy, natural surroundings, and then in the middle of this, almost forgotten, lies a gold-plated creation with exquisite leaf and filigree pattern, I might add. You could even add some ponderance to several meanings you see therein. Either someone is missing a very nice pocketwatch, or digging deeper, this is time lost, the meaninglessness of time in such a pristine, and natural setting, or because the photo centers on the timepiece, it could even be a warning about time running out, the dire situation nature finds itself in these days, the seeming constant of rich soil and vegetation's time is about to run out. I think I prefer the more simple mishmash of an intricately decorated timepiece surrounded by (what I consider) timeless beauty; a beauty that renews itself each year.

Wow, thank you so much for your comment. No one has ever taken a photo of mine that seriously, and I really appreciate it. Even though I'm not the best photographer, my photos still have meaning. I'm really glad I could capture all that metaphor successfully, because I was thinking all of those things when I took it.

Sometimes I simply enjoy photos for what they are, particularly scenic ones, but I do like the ones that are thought-provoking, which I feel you capture in these watch + nature set ups. I immediately knew I liked that about them, I just wasn't sure if I could articulate it properly at first
