Shall I start the ball (of yarn) rolling?
π: 0 β©: 1
seek-and-hide In reply to nothingcouldfall [2014-04-21 22:01:02 +0000 UTC]
Oh! The balls of yarn are for domestic cats (those who live in houses). For these cats living in public places would be the most fun a sheet of paper or leaves dancing in the wind. Anything that makes some attractive little noise.
Sometimes, some children who insist on trying to grab them. The escape is fun too. Because they don't have an owner and it's like to be a little wild.
And being wild allows them to have a little freedom. The freedom to have time themself.

Hehe ur 100% right and u just started a story there... I think I heard it in the crackle of leaves on the road (actually that's a memory I have I'll tell u another day, maybe I was a wild cat once
) or the dash and pounce outta the arms of exuberant children

Maybe we all have some feline memories. As something that touches us. We all have memories of the children mischief in which the charm was in the imagination.
I think of how I imagined scenes from the shadows on the wall. Looking into the grooves of wood and imagine characters. We all create stories from clouds in our childhood.
Lamentably the people lose this fertile imagination. Some people can still recover (artists?), but many people get lost in everyday obligations. And these memories fade away with time.

That's a good point Mayumi. Though I will add that if forgetting follows memory, we can still be glad to know that very often experience accompanies remembering Β

I also like the idea of thinking about the present as a chance to make memories, small or large, for ourselves and those we meet
