Description o_O I don't know how to use charcoal to my advantage, and I have to use that for my art-making-assignment thingy. But other than that...

Ivan~ Again. >_> Can't remember what I was intentionally planning, but I quite like this. I do believe his head is a little funny... though... I actually enjoyed messing around with colouring his hair and trying to blend it all in. Did it actually work? o_O The swirliness and stars around it ended up there after I was given highlighters to mess around with. Whatever.

Used: Mechanical pencil, charcoal, colour pencils... <_<

Bleeh-arrrgh, how cute!

I'm no good with chalk, never done anything with charcoal, suck with watercolor, terrible at coloring (with markers, colored pencils, crayon, etc), and...yeah. O_o

The only thing I can actually do is computer art, and when I do pencil art, nobody really cares cause it's 'more pencil art...again?!' O_o

I likey. I likey.

Ivaaaaaaaaan~

This picture is beautiful. You are really very talented with charcoals (I've actually never used charcoals before, myself).

UBER-fav'd.

Ive never used charcol so unfortunately I cant giv you a lot of advice. But from what I can tell this looks very good. The charcol looks like it made the outer lines bolder giving it a cell shaded effect.
This is honestly a great peice, youre definately getting better.

Charcoal kinda annoys me because of the mess it leaves on my hands, and if I use too much I'd end up smudging everything But I'm glad it looks okay and I'm just surprised with the improvements *stares at them, waiting for somehting drastically/horrible to happen*

Yeah I know. I havent used charcol before but Im assuming its like pastels. And pastels are so hard to get off of your hands, and clothes. o_O I hated working with them but they looked so pretty, so I guess it was worth it.

I have to use pastels for my body of work in art... which I haven't done yet... *freaks out* and I have a two week break and I don't have any materials... *bangs head against wall* >_> But it's actually really surprising to see how okay the work looks when it's finished with either charcoal or pastels... o_O But then again, compared to everyone else's work, I'm still an amateur XD

yeah true enough. I feel like that almost all the time, but in truth we are amateurs in less were going to become professional artists.

I don't think you did too badly at all.
It exceeds my ability with charcoal.

Since I started watching your art I have always liked the way you draw and colour eyes. This work maintains your eye style very well. Anyways I think your work with charcoal came out well. There's a nice overall feel to this work and the "wash" effect you got from the charcoal I think is part of it.

I don't see anything wrong with the head as far as I can tell.

Is that winter clothing he's wearing? It looks thick and warm. I could use some right now since my apartment heater is in "too-cold" mode again and I'm pessimistic about turning it up lest it goes to "too-hot" mode. See my apartment heater, though it has a variable-temperature thermostat knob, seems to have two settings: too-hot and too-cold. Just-right seems to be an elusive setting I cannot find on the dial.

^^ Thank you so much for the comment, and glad you liked it I think your heater has some issues going on there, though >_> (But I get what you mean. It's odd...)

It kinda worked...Pretty charcoal, was it the kind of charcoal you burn? -pokes- The way you make the effect, its like those, how do you say, faraway effect?

I don't... actually know. I suppose so (are there any other forms of charcoal around that I've never heard of?) O_o? Faraway effect? Really? Who would have thought?
