If you do not mind the curiosity, may I ask how you paint your stars? Do you paint them with a lighter stippling on dark base, or do you let a lighter base shine through?

I start with a dark blue/purple/black mixed base and then splatter stars on with a wide bristled brush in light blue. Then go back and refine each point with a colored light for distant stars or white light for larger closer stars. I start with dark and just build up the light in lots of layers.Β Β
