She couldn't stay long. The apes were close in the area, and she learned the hard way that not even in a city would she be safe. She pulled her cloak over herself and hurried through the village marketplace just outside of the Emerae empire.
Honestly if anything, the cloak would draw more attention, as there were very few dragons here and a cloaked one would spur questions. But it was still better than letting anyone see her face. She hurridly gathered and paid for her food from the various vendors in the marketplace, filling her bags as quickly as she could.
She felt that someone was watching her and she began to panic. She bought her last package of meat and rushed through an alleyway so she could make her escape. She climbed on top of a small building ready to take flight. Before she could though, a voice stopped her.

"You want any help with those?"

She turned to see a Fire dragon looking at her from another rooftop next to hers. Her nerves relaxed only a little. A Dragon. Enemy of the apes. She had a strange feeling that it was him who was watching her in the marketplace. If it was, then she was safe at least.
It took her a minute to realize he was referring to her food bags when he asked to help her. She shook her head, still covered in her cloak, and took off into the air to go back to her hideout.

Immediately she found herself wishing she had accepted his help. She longed for companionship, and that dragon was rather handsome to her, even in the short moment she'd looked at him. She felt silly for her thoughts, but still started wondering if she'd see him again.

She returned to the marketplace a few days after. No incident had happened in that time and she felt that she may be safe in this area for the moment. And though she wouldn't directly admit it, she wondered if she would see the Fire dragon again.
As she gathered her food around the vendors again, she felt someone watching her again. This time she looked around hopefully, and sure enough she saw the Fire dragon looking at her from another vendor. She began walking towards the bridge outside of the marketplace, hoping he'd follow. Sure enough he caught up to her on the bridge and greeted her again courteously. She greeted him back and they had a short but pleasant conversation together before she decided to hurry back to her hideout. But now she knew his name, Mullison, and was on friendly terms. She would come back more and more to find him, and the more they talked, the more she'd open up to him. She took off her cloak and introduced herself as they became closer every day.
They eventually fell in love, but she tried to explain that she was a dragon with a bounty and couldn't live a normal life with someone. He insisted on being with her though, even accepting living in hiding in order to stay with her. This surprised her, but filled her heart with love, and they were Mated For Life.

They roamed around from place to place to keep the Apes from her trail. Eventually they had three eggs together and started making plans on how to raise their family together. Mullison would go out on his own to find a more permanent home for them, but in an accidental rock slide he was trapped inside a mountain for days before he found a way out. During that time however, the Apes found their current hideout and began restraining Serinus. As they did, they began smashing her eggs in front of her which enraged her into an unusually powerful electric fury that killed all the apes around her.
She wept over her dead children, having only one egg that survived.
She ran with the egg to a new hiding spot, Mullison having not returned she started assuming the worst happened to him as well. She hid in the marshlands, heartbroken and will shattered. All that kept her going now was her egg. Her only reason now.

The egg hatched a daughter that she named Frisha. They lived in the marshlands for years until she started noticing dragon mothers taking their eggs and hatchlings to the nearby Dragon Temple where the Guardians currently resided. She hadn't been found in years, and she didn't want her daughter to grow up in isolation. Eventually she decided to take the risk and let her daughter train at the Temple.

For a while all was well and Frisha made many friends during her training. But as luck would have it, a group of Ape spies snuck into the marshlands and recognized Serinus. They relayed the news and returned with more apes to capture her. The Guardians were gone to war against the apes so there was no one to protect her or the young ones at the Temple. A young Fire dragon named Merona commanded them to follow her to the Dragon City Warfang in order to escape. Serinus sent her daughter with Merona, the broodmothers and other hatchlings to go to the city, having to lie to her that she'd catch up in order to get her to leave her. Once her daughter was safely away, she ran to face the apes, leading them on a chase and distracting them from the escapees.
She grew tired from fleeing, and no longer had enough strength to escape. She was captured and the apes brought her back to their outpost. While there, the apes began arguing who deserved the larger sum of the bounty. Serinus watched through tired eyes as a figure in a blue cloak approached her. Ever so secretly the figure pulled a knife from under its robe and cut a vital part in the ropes. She would be able to escape now. The figure returned to the crowd of apes, none of them noticing what had happened. When Serinus strength returned, she ripped the ropes off herself and bolted into the air, flying far enough away that the apes had no chance of catching up to her.

Right as she thought she was free to return to her daughter, a bolt of lightning shot from the rainy sky and hit her directly. She evaporated into the bolt, knowing nothing else.

Years later during another storm, a lighting bolt shot at the top of the mountains of Tall Plains, and there Serinus reappeared, sleeping, and unaware of what had happened. She was awoken by the Atlawa tribe who rudely tried to shoo her away from their land. Serinus took off into the air again, trying to remember what had happened.
She found out that years had passed since her daughter had escaped to the Dragon City, and as hard as she tried she couldn't figure out how she completely missed the years that went by. But she learned of the events that passed since then, that Malefor was dead and how they were saved by the new purple dragon. She eagerly flew to the city to find her daughter. They were emotionally reunited, and with the new purple dragon, the crippling of the apes, and the new age of peace that was beginning, she finally felt she was safe to live a normal life now.
