Magic;
Their "soul-stealing" abilities are considered to be magic, and it comes in two versions; Extractors and Vessels - The two versions are very simple;
Extractors have a 90% succession rate of reaping a soul without trouble. Extractors however can only contain a limited amount of souls before going mad with overstimulation, and losing their minds.
This is only harmful to the Reaper Imp itself, and not to it's surroundings, as its body will shut down and go into a "cold-sleep". These sleeping states can last for years, and if the Reaper Imp is not fed with a soul, it will die.
Furthermore, Extractors have a higher consumption rate and will need to reap a soul more often than a Vessel.

Vessels have a 10% succession rate of reaping a soul, and they have a nasty habit of "shattering" the soul in the process, leaving fragments of it behind and a tortured creature with a fragmented soul to die - a fragmented soul leaves little nutrient.
Vessels can contain however many souls they want, and sometimes act as a "storage compartment" for their mate, should the mate be an Extractor.
Vessels will most often depend on an Extractor to reap souls for them, therefor providing both parties with spare souls to feed on.
Vessels have a slow consumption rate, and will not need to feed on their stored souls as often as Extractors.

- Vessels and Extractors therefor rely on each other, and most pairs contains a Vessel and an Extractor as mated. There are no physical differences, and none of the types are seen as superior or weaker, it all comes down to survival.

- Aside from Soul Reaping, their magic includes other abilities too, but nothing too drastic.
They can create small light streams emanating form their hands. These are mostly made for fun, and sometimes to impress other Reaper Imps, and they look kind of like holding up a stick with a burning tip and thrashing it about in the air.
The soul stored inside the Reaper Imps body can also be used to create heat, and this will radiate off of the Reaper Imp's body. This is used for survival and keeping warm.
They can evidently save each other, and other living beings, from death. Transferring their stored souls into another Reaper Imp is common among them, but transferring them into humans or other living creatures is not recommended - terrible side effects can happen, as the soul is now injected with magic.

Reproduction;
- Reaper Imps are hermaphrodites, and therefor carries both female and male genitalia.
It is decided upon mating which of the two Rimpers will act as Sire, and which as Carrier, before the act itself begins - Carriers have chances of being impregnated during mating, but there's only a 10% chance or lower of this succeeding.
Due to low fertility, mates who succeeds in carrying a baby is believed to have been blessed by the Gods.
They carry their young as humans would, and therefor has a belly button, but they do not produce milk and therefor has no nipples. Babies are fed with spare soul-particles provided by it's parents.

- While Pregnant, the carrier's male genitalia will be suppressed, both to create space for the baby to grow and to make the pregnancy easier for the Carrier. It does not disappear, but becomes extremely small compared to its normal size.
- Birthing works just as humans, and the female Reaper Imp will have to give birth to its baby through its vulva.
- Reaper Imps experiences periods, but only about once a year - it is extremely stressful to them, and their senses peak. They menstruate for about 2 weeks, and the following weak after finishing they ovulate and they are the most fertile at this point.
Only the one to Carry the baby will have to be in heat for pregnancies to be successful, but any Reaper Imp can go into heat.

- Courting rituals used to be a thing back in the old ages, but these traditions have mostly been lost at this point. It is said that a dance was to be performed, but no one remembers it, and Reaper Imps court each other like humans do.
