Modern Sonic got news from Classic Sonic about the vague Project Needlemouse going on. Modern doesn't believe it'll work because the key people are not present in the development of such an expectantly high profile game. Classic on the other hand puts his trust on the fans and the (new) Sonic Team that it'll all work out. Modern however points out that his existence is the result of the seemingly disorganized Sonic Team and the highly voatile and indecisive "fans".Classic then asks Modern if he's enjoying his chilidog, which Modern responds positively. Classic then makes a statement about the road of recovery going well. This is a reference to my "Battle of the Platform" idea where Modern is a bit psychotic from the high amount of shunning from his "fans" and SEGA going 3rd party and the like. It is also referencing Sonic's real life situation on how the newer games are somewhat improving his status I guess.
Go and have fun coloring XD Try to go SA style on Modern and Classic style on Classic. Though... classic style is a pain @_@

i would never shun sonic, classic OR modern!!! any sonic "fan" that completely hates one sonic and obsesses over the other one isn't a true-blue fan. i'm neutral as far as classic/modern go, but i'm more familiar with modern sonic.

With the all-around success of Sonic Colors, I'd like to see you do a follow-up piece where Modern Sonic has successfully gone through therapy and/or medication and is feeling much better and less psychotic.
Alas, this series is so old that you probably won't, but it would've been awesome. Oh well.

Uhm, I kind of like the punchline but the chillidogs are an AOSTH referece, not really a reference to Sonic's game classic days.
Maybe by consitently getting rounder in the belly though. He's quite round in Unleashed, though not the ratio-head body isn't big as before.

Classic (or old Sonic) is any Sonic before Sonic Adventure 1.
Modern Sonic (new Sonic) is the green eyed Sonic from Sonic Adventure 1 and beyond.

Mr. Needlemouse was just one of Sonic's prototype names, it wasn't going to be used in the game at all beyond storyboarding game ideas.

Modern Sonic says that Project Needlemouse will not be successful without important people (like Yuji Naka) working on it in the Sonic Team. Classic Sonic says that what matters is the fans and Sonic Team and he trusts that it'll all work out.
Then it goes into a short conversation about whether or not Modern likes the chilidog he's eating, in which he replies "Yes". Classic then mentions that Modern Sonic is recovering well.
It's pretty much all explained in the Artist comments and in the picture itself...
