I agree with Irma - she's so similar to Rainbow Dash, it's scary
But I'd change the others around:
Hay Lin - Laugther
Cornelia - Honesty
Taranee - Kindness
Elyon - Generosity
I have honestly problems to sort in Will - she seems to have no characteristic strength or focus.

Agreed, the writers seriously jipped us out of an epic free-for-all between rough equals by just having Shagon cut in. Sure, it would've ended the same either way but like four pages of fighting would've been nice after all that time in the magic shield bubbles.
As for me, I preferred the fourth saga for the simple fact that Will got to solo Phobos... only to get her butt kicked by him worse than ever along with the others very next issue and get saved by comedic Deus Ex Machina but fortunately redeems herself by erasing his soul from existence. The first two and seventh sagas are also favorites of mine.

If there's something W.i.t.c.h. messes up on almost every time, it's endings. If there's anything the cartoon improved, it's that.

The only exceptions I can think of are the fifth and seventh saga.
On that note, I think we can agree 100% W.I.T.C.H. was the worst saga of the bunch.

Cornelia is always pretty self centerd but always tells it as it is. So honesty would suit her better.

I wonder if the show/comic would have been Shafted so much if the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic phenomenon would have happened BEFORE it came out....

Dunno much about the Comic marketing debacle (other than it ought to have been made available in the U.S. considering it's massive popularity in other countries, but wasn't). The show was a clear case of "we, the network, really want this show to die so we're gonna give it no advertisement and change it's time slot every two weeks so we can say it's not getting the ratings so we can cancel it". This might be due to it not having a clear cut demographic and they didn't know how to market it. "we don't know if this is for Girls or not" I think might the problem. There is an old mentality in the west that a show with a male main character can be for boys/everyone, and female is only for girls. But! a LOT of boys did like the show and comic, but Disney was blind of it I think (No! people must fit in to slots so marketing can be easy! feh). My Little Pony Friendship is Magic took that "boys can like stuff with a female main character if the show is good" To the ENTH degree and smashed that old mentality to itty bitty pieces. W.I.T.C.H.'s concept, Character depth, and story type is very like MLP except less "girly". So, in theory, it would do very well in a Post MLP:FIM world.

Yeah, but I was sorta going for the personalities of the Mane Six as well. Irma is more brash while Hay Lin, I feel, is more...optimistic, like Pinkie Pie, with her outlook on life. (At least from what I've read in the comics)
