Family Background / History: The Tachibanas' own quite a few malls all over the country. The husband and wife only had two daughters and no male heir so when Sou came along, he was treated like a prince; pampered and doted.

When Sou went to school, he was always made fun of because of his round physique. It didn't bother him at first but when it didn't stop but only got worse, he became conscious of his appearance and would often go home crying, bruised and dirty. He used to get into fights because of it and because his family were practically rich and overprotective of him *cough* two evil older sisters *cough* , anyone who bullied him have bad experiences. After such incidents, teases and taunts he hears have vanished but as well as any potential companions.
He was friendless due to the fact that people avoided him but not until he reached his second year in middle school. An art teacher befriended him and changed his view of life, fixed his prejudice and taught him about the good of viewing things in a positive light. This encounter completely changed him. He became optimistic and learned to accept and love himself.

In his third year in middle school, his parents introduced him to a young boy (Chun Liao) who will serve as his personal butler. They wanted the best for their son and thus, did the extreme. Sou initially didn't like the idea of being served by a boy the same age as him but his parents insisted.
After awhile of being together, he slowly becomes comfortable being with Li. He found the boy interesting and considers him more of a friend than an employee that when entering Brent Academy, he requested for Li to be his personal butler who will also study together with him.
