This tutorial is great, and probably one of the best I've seen in a while. It's simple and easy to understand, but still has an incredibly nice outcome if you follow it correctly. Thanks a ton, and here's my outcome

Yeah, the tut was made specially with the "understand factor" in mind
I like your result. Especially for a beginner, it's pretty good. What you should still work on: Make the scan blend more into the background. The scan is reeeally smooth, while you have a grungy background... And try to make the background itself stand out a bit more. Like, usually a sig is more focused on a good background that'll blend well with the scan, than the scan itself n_n
Well, you do those and you have good potential =]
