“WHA-AAAT????!!!” The blond yelped, making the puppeteer standing next to him flinch.

“Please try not to make my eardrums explode, Deidara.” Sasori sighed. He couldn’t believe how loud the sculptor could be when he wanted to be.

“But why didn’t you tell me it was your birthday?! I mean, I was going to get you a present, un!” The blond yelled at Sasori, hands on hips.

The two were standing outside in the unpleasantly cold November air, the sky above them threatening to snow, as wind whipped around their hair and clothing. They were leant against a wall in the mini garden of the school, being alone in the garden expect for a small group of girls at the other side of the garden, and two people that looked sort fo like Kakuzu and Hidan, yet both boys thought it would be really weird and strange if it was them two, as "Hidan" Seemed to be perched on "Kakuzu's" lap.

Sasori was little startled by what the blond had just said. Why would the blond get him a birthday present? It was a bit odd, seeing as they hadn’t know each other for long...yet he couldn’t deny the fact that it was quite sweet of the blond.
Still, he didn’t even celebrate his own birthday anymore- he wasn’t that against growing up, but he wasn’t actually fussed about presents or cake or anything trivial like that. It’s just that I’m not used to my birthday being celebrated...that’s why it feels weird, he told himself firmly.

“Why?” He asked the blond, still wanting to know...well, why.
Deidara just turned to Sasori again, a puzzled expression readable on his pretty face. He was confused and about to ask Sasori something when he noticed he had never seen before. Whether or not he was aware of it, the truth was that Sasori was blushing. Aww, how sweet of him, thought the blond as he started to giggle.

“What’s so funny?” Sasori half demanded, and half said in an extirpated voice. He Didn’t know what the hell the blond was laughing at.

Deidara laughed at him again, sweetly pointing out his danna’s kawaii little blush, which seemed to make it somewhat deepen. “Even better, Danna, un.” He told Sasori, commenting on his red face, still giggling. “It matches you hair, un.”

Sasori turned his head away in embarrassment, folding his arms in a mini huff. before remembering the blond still had a question to answer. He whipped round to face him again, and saw that he had started to mould clay into some sort of shape, eyes fully concentrated on his soon-to-be sculpture.

“Well, Deidara? Why would you, it’s not as if you needed to.”  He tried to ask in a monotone voice, but yet failed to stop some pure interest from leaking out.
Deidara looked up from his clay moulding and smiled, as to him, Sasori really wanted to know. “That’s simple Danna...” He began, before the alarming shriek of the school bell sounded, making them momentarily jump. Deidara didn’t continue, until both he and Sasori had collected their bags from the floor. He straightened up from the wall, and grinned at Sasori, while the redhead just simply raised his eyebrows.

“Simple?” The redhead scoffed.

“Un. Why was I gonna get you a present? Well...Why not?” He grinned, before quickly reaching out to ruffle Sasori’s Scarlet hair, the red head instantly beating him off with his hands, before Deidara swiftly ran for it, giggling the entire time.

They’re first lesson was English, where they arrived late, both a bit out of breath and Deidara still giggling.  As they walked into the classroom, the first person they saw was Itachi. He looked at both boys like they were something vile stuck to the bottom of his shoe, sniffing slightly as Sasori and Deidara slouched past his desk confidently.

Deidara noticed the Uchiha, and just smiled innocently at him, at least he did until the blond passed the Uchiha’s desk and muttered “F*cker.” He told Itachi under his breath, all the while looking seemingly innocent. Deidara then sat down heavily on his desk, waiting for Sasori, who would be sitting at the desk not in front of him, but beside him.

Before he sat down, Sasori inclined his towards the blond, yet was leaning back slightly still.  He pointed at The Uchiha, before commenting on him to the sculptor.
“Look, Dei...Itachi’s nose is broken.” He chuckled slightly, before adding the next part. “He probably hopes another part of his body might not be broken.”
Deidara eyed the Uchiha to see if Sasori was, and then fell into a fit of laughter as Sasori sat down next to him, smirking.

English was a quite a hard subject, and Deidara had some problems with it. He tried to do the work set, but gave up after about twenty minutes.  He glanced sideways at Sasori, amazed to find that he had already finished.  Deidara flung his pen in a huff, feeling really stupid.  HE couldn’t be bothered to complete the work now, so why try to come up with an idea for something a little more...interesting?
He couldn’t believe Sasori’s reaction to his own birthday.
Deidara had the feeling that the redhead didn’t even celebrate the occasion himself, which in Deidara’s mind, was unthinkable. He had to do something nice for the puppeteer, but seeing as it was his birthday today, he wouldn’t have much time. Glancing at the clock, the blond cursed under his breath as he wished for the time to move faster.  He rested his head on his arms, which were now folded on the desk, his facial expression looking bored and spaced out, while his mind was plotting manically.

Sombre and silent, it seemed that no sound could penetrate Sasori’s distantly quiet house. The said redhead was leaning against a radiator in his bedroom, a cup of strong, black coffee clutched within his hands. The Puppeteer stared silently into the mug, thinking. Ringing in his ears were the sounds of events that had happened years ago, two years ago to be precise. The sounds were with him now, and would probably never leave him, no matter how much he wanted them to.

Sasori’s eyes were drooping slowly, almost about the close as the shrill ringing off the home phone cried throughout the once sombre house, causing Sasori to jump slightly with shock.
That’s odd, he thought to himself, as he placed the coffee mug hurriedly on the chest of drawers next to his bed. The phone hardly EVER rings; and if it does it was normally a wrong number.

Sasori ran heavily down the stairs into the downstairs of his house, reaching the Small yet high up table where the phone, now shrieking with noise, was kept. He picked up the device gingerly, sighing a little as he placed it close to his small ears.
He instantly regretted that action.

“Guess-whooooo!” The speaker half sang, half spoke. “It’s Deidara” he told Sasori cheerily, giving the redhead no time to make a guess.

Deidara?! How the hell? The Puppeteer was most defiantly sure he had never told the blond his home phone number, or cell phone number.

He was about to interrogate the blond on just how the hell he knew his number, when the blond butted in, telling Sasori that; “Your house is really damned difficult to find, I’ve be going around in circles for AGES, un.”

Sasori drew breath, getting more confused and annoyed by the second. He leaned back on the wall of the hallway, frowning at the phone. When the blond had stopped babbling, Sasori took the opportunity to speak.

“Deidara, thank god you’ve shut up. Now i have some things to ask:  1.How the hell have you got my number, 2. Why the hell are you calling me, and 3. How the HELL do you know my adress?!

Deidara giggled, before merely replying he got it off the school computers. “They hold everyone’s information, un. Now, can you tell me where about you live, un?”
Sasori sighed at the blonds stalker-osity, before replied to him. Man, the blond was sure persistant.

“No, I’ll meet you where you are. Just stay put.” He told Deidara a little wearily. “Where are you?”

“Me? I’m just outside...err...a mini Tesco, un” The blond replied, downcast that he wouldn’t find out where Sasori lived.

“Right” The redhead replied, about to put the phone down, until he heard Deidara’s voice cry out “WAIT, UN!!!” He then sighed, which he seemed to be doing a lot that day, and placed the receiver close to his ear again.

“Don’t hang up, un!” He pouted like a child, causing Sasori to raise his eyebrows. When Deidara realised head caught the red-head’s attention again, he smiled deviously and giggled. “Don’t hang up, Sasori-danna, cause you don’t know why i rang up, un.”

Annoyed, Sasori couldn’t be bothered to reply to the blond with more than a bored “Why?” letting Deidara tell him, rather than pound the answer out of him.
Deidara did his almost trademark giggle, a bit like Sasori’s trademark sighing, and continue to grin. “Because you need to know that we are going out.”
