Burnout with the Accidental Elemental comic is apparently settling in, despite my efforts to circumvent it. I've been grinding away at that project for a year straight now! When I realize that, it's no wonder it's starting to feel a little worn. I don't really want to take a break, but evidently I need to, seeing as this past week I could barely stand to look at the page I was supposed to post today, let alone finish it. (And yet, drawing other things like this picture was fine.)

About this picture. Recently, Blue Wizard Friend here visited me in a dream and we had a whole conversation. It was really really cool, because it always is a treat when characters do that, even though this dream had a bit of a sad tone. "Bluefellow" asked me who and what I was. He mentioned he'd seen me change form and didn't know what to make of that (I think he said something about some white, hoofed creature he'd seen me become... gee, I wonder what that could be!). I tried to avoid revealing to him that I was his author, but alas, he is a very smart fellow, and seemed to see through me anyway. His mood all melancholy, he seemed to communicate that he wasn't sure he wanted his story told (I would urge him to reconsider if that was the case! ). At the end of the discussion, I tried to hug him, but he gently pulled away, saying something like "I'd rather not, please".

Upon examination, I feel like this dream was about the aforementioned Burnout. It may be time for me to take a longer break from this project, or at least slow its progress dramatically, even though I would honestly rather continue as normal. But if I try to keep churning out weekly pages even through the burnout, I won't do a very good job of them anyway. I would think it's better to save that work for when I can do a good job. Hopefully, any breaks and/or slowdowns won't have to be too long! ;_;

PS: Yes, Goat-Koiya does have Dragon-Koiya's tail in this picture. She just wanted it.
