Description
So this ones been an on and off project for a couple of months now. I finally broke down and bought some metallic paint markers to create the symbol effect that I really wanted to do to it. I'm really pleased with how its come out. My favorite parts are probably his somber expression, the detailing in his hair, the mass of eyes that articulate his attention span in every direction and his bodies mass of tentacles.
Design was inspired by several demon!Ford images I've seen floating around on tumblr and I shall credit whomever the designer was of his original concept. I've simply cleaned it up a bit into my own take of it which was heavily influenced by Hermaeus Mora from the Elder Scrolls series if the larger central eye didn't give it away enough, let alone the title of the painting.

Thank you so much. As I mentioned in my artist comments I've see similar concept art of him floating around from different people and really liked the appeal of a Ford that becomes a demon somehow either via Bill or an outside source and wanted to really clean up the concept from sketches I've seen.

Yeah I thought of the same thing ! Ford could stay in Apocrypha for eternity just reading books ^^ And with all the eyes, it's hard not to compare Bill to Hermaus Mora

Thank you, I really appreciate that. When I find others that appreciate what I do it really motivates me to make more, but yes, I really like to draw different things in my own style even though I've drawn Ford in his standard style as both study and practice. I always think if you're going to draw, even if its fan art, you should make what you're doing in your own twist to make it your own as a contribution to a certain fandom.

I agree, when I saw sketches of the whole demon Ford floating about I knew I just really dug the direction the art done of his was going in and really wanted to make my own piece as both tribute to an awesome idea and just to enjoy practice with. What really gets my mind going is in whatever alternate universe something like this would occur in, what exactly happened? How did he become a demon? Why? What temptation was there? Etc. Etc.

Couldn't agree more with you but, my idea is that perhaps when Ford trusted Bill in his past that he trusted him so much to become one with his dimension at some point which would cause him to become some sort of demon seeing I got a feeling there are a lot of demons and monsters in Bill's dimension. This would eventually make Ford lost in this dimension which means he could never return home due to being stuck as a demon.
